OTHER REGIMENTS REPRESENTED

L. S Hillabrandt enlisted at Sammonsville as private in the 44th (Ellsworth) regiment. He served his full term and was discharged as corporal.

Jerome Van Antwerp enlisted at Fultonville in the 44th. J. Anthony also enlisted in the 44th.

Charles Smith enlisted as a private in Company C, 32nd N.Y. Volunteers, and afterward re-enlisted as 2nd Lieutenant, and was promoted to 1st Lieutenant.
He was take prisoner at Fort Fisher. When the prisoners were being moved from Columbia, S.C, he with another prisoner, D. Getman, jr., from Mayfield, made a hole through the bottom of the car with a case-knife and escaped.

James McEwen enlisted in the 32nd for the term of two years. He served his time and re-enlisted in the 104th regiment. He contracted a disease, from which he died in the Albany hospital, in April, 1866.

Jonah Hess enlisted March 22, 1864, as corporal in the 192nd regiment. He was discharged September, 1864.

James A. Platts enlisted in November, 1861, in the 3rd regiment N.Y. light artillery; discharged June 26, 1865.
