"In The Garden"

A Flower Dies

The world watched a flower bloom
And turn into a lovely rose.
To be loved was her heart's desire
And that dream compelled her to greater heights.

To be a royal princess ~
It was a great ambition!
And yet she carried it with dignaty
And a spirit of true tradition.

Our Royal Swan was stolen away
One hot summer night.
(But now she is free
From our prying eyes.)

It's such a shame and sorrow
That we could love her so much
That is was we ourselves
That have put her to death.
