I came across the book "Admiral of the Ocean Sea; A Life of Christopher COLUMBUS" by Samuel Eliot Morison, 1942. It is the story of Christopher COLUMBUS, the Discoverer of the Middle Ages. He was born in 1451 in the ancient city of Genoa. His paternal grandfather was Giovanni COLOMBO from the village of Moconesi, a seaport 20 miles east of Genoa. His father Domenico, wife Susanna FONTANAROSSA. Just thought to share the above genealogy in case anyone is interested, Rose Terry
