Easy Peach Cake

1 lrg. Can sliced peaches, not drained

1 pkg. White cake mix

1 c. pecans(chopped)

½ c. butter

Pour peaches in a 9x13 inch ungreased baking dish. Pour dry cake mix over peaches. Slice butter over top and sprinkle with pecans. Bake 1 hour at 350o.

18 minute Chocolate Cake

2 c. sugar

1 pinch salt

1 c. cold water

½ c. vegetable oil

½ tsp. Baking soda

1 tsp. Vanilla

2 c. flour

4 tbsp. Cocoa

½ c. margarine

½ c. buttermilk

2 eggs

Mix sugar, flour and salt together in large bowl. Bring water, cocoa, and margarine(not butter) and oil to a boil; then pour over dry ingredients and mix. Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add to cocoa mixture. Add eggs and vanilla. Bake at 400o to 425o for 18 minutes in a 10 ½ x 15 ½ inch pan. Make thin icing. While cake is cooking, prepare frosting and spread on cake while both are HOT.

Raw Apple Bundt Cake

3 c. flour

1 tsp. Baking soda

2 c. sugar
½ to 1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp cinnamon
3 c. chopped apples
1 ½ c. chopped nuts
3 eggs slightly beaten
4 1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 tbsp. Vanilla
1 c. raisins(optional)
Sift dry ingredients together. Add nuts and apples. Mix together and add remaining ingredients. Do not use electric mixer. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350o for 1 hour.

How to fail in cooking a cake:

"This recipe calls for 4 eggs, but I have only 2.
I'll have to use water because I don't have any milk.
Beat 5 minutes? I only have 3.
300o? 400o will do it faster.
OH! My lovely cake is ruined. I'll never use this recipe again!!!!!!!"
