No-Button Ruffled Towel Topper

Materials: (Makes 2 towels)
1 dish towel
3 oz. 100% cotton worsted weight yarn
H Crochet Hook

Note: Fold dishcloth in half, end to end, and cut in half. Fold over edge1/4 inch and baste seam. Turn crocheting at the end of each row in crocheting.

Row 1: Do 50 sc along basted cut edge. Ch 3 and turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across.
Row 3: Ch 3, *dc next 2 sts together, dc in next 4 sc, repeat across. Dc in last 2 sts.
Row 4: Ch 3, *dc next 2 sts together, dc in next 4 sts, repeat across.
Row 5: Ch 3, *dc next 2 sts together, dc in next 4 sts, repeat across and dc in last 3 dc.
Row 6: Ch 3, *dc next 2 sts together, dc in next 3 sts, repeat across, dc in last 2 sts.
Row 7: Ch 3, *dc next 2 sts together, dc in next 3 sts, repeat across, dc in last st.
Row 8: Ch 3, *dc next 2 sts together, dc in next 3 sts, repeat across, dc in last st.
Row 9: Ch 3, *dc next 2 sts together, dc in next 2 sts, repeat across, dc in last 3 sts.
Row 10: Ch 1, *sc next 2 sts, ch 6 loosely, skip next 6 sts, sc in last 2 sts.
Row 11: Ch 3, dc next 2 sts together, do 6 dc in ch 6 space, dc last 2 sts together.
Row 12: Ch 3, dc next 2 sts together, dc to last 2 sts, dc last 2 sts together.
Row 13 - 20: Ch 3, dc in each st across.

Work in rounds now

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in the back of each st across, turn and sc in the remaining half of the sts across(front st in the 1st part). Join with a sl st in 1st sc.
Rnd 2: Working in sts of previous round, ch 1, 2 sc in joining st and 2 sc in each st around, join with a sl st in 1st sc.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in joining st, *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st, repeat around ending with 2 sc in last st.
Rnd 4: Ch 10, sc in same st as joining, * ch 10 sc in next st, repeat around joining with a sl st in the 1st sc.

Fasten off and weave in ends.
