Materials:
Worsted Weight yarn: 10 ounces Soft Navy Blue, 4 ounces White
J Crochet Hook
Ch 80
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across.
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in next 5 dc, (dc, ch 3, dc) in next dc, *dc in next 10 dc, (dc, ch 3, dc) in next dc, repeat from * across to last 5 sts, dc in last 5 sts. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, *dc to next ch 3 space and do (dc, ch 3, dc) in space, repeat from * across ending with dc in last dc stitches.
The ch 3 of the previous rows will be considered as a dc now.Row 4 - 20: Repeat Row 3.
Row 21: Ch 3, dc in next 24 dc across, *(dc, ch 2, dc) in next ch 3 space, dc in next 24 dc, in space between stitch 24 and 25 do (dc, ch 2, dc); dc in next 24 dc. Repeat from * across to end.
Row 22 - 26: Ch 3, dc in each dc and (dc, ch 2, dc) in each ch 2 space across. Mark row 26 as right side.
Edging:
Row 1: Join White in bottom right corner(right side facing), ch 1, sc in same st and joining, sc across
side edge. 3 sc in corner, sc around top edge, 3 sc in corner, sc to left bottom corner, 3 sc in bottom
corner. Working across bottom now do sc in each dc and 3 sc in each ch 2 space. Join with sl st in ch
1 of beginning edge. DO NOT FASTEN OFF. Turn.
Row 2: *Ch 3, skip 2 sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * across to opposite bottom corner, turn.
Row 3 (ruffle): Ch 1, sc in turning sc, *in each ch 3 space (2 dc, ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, dc) sc in each sc. Repeat from * across ending with a sc in sc of bottom corner. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Stars: Make 25 stars with my tiny star pattern. (Click on link)
Randomly attach the stars to the tree skirt by sewing with yarn or use a fabric glue like Aleene's OK to Wash It.
