The following documents are those which govern the Titus 2 Certified Christian Doula (CCD), Titus 2 Certified Christian Monitrice (CCM) and Titus 2 Certified Christian Childbirth Educator (CCCE) programs. They are included here so that persons interested in joining the Titus 2 Birthing programs can review the documents prior to registering.
The documents must be signed in the form shown here. We do not allow applicants to alter the statements or to receive waivers if they disagree with the documents. This is a firm policy.
1. We believe God, Father Son and Holy Spirit, created the heavens, the earth and all that is in 6 days as proclaimed in Genesis. We believe God exists in unity and in totality as a triune being; Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that each identity has a purpose and a function complete in and of itself. God is eternal having no end and no beginning, ever the same and unchanging in His nature.
2. We believe God the Father is love, perfection, all-knowing, all-powerful, all-present, all-sufficient. He is judge and requires that those called by His Name to live lives set apart and called out in righteous living. He loves His children and He institued a plan before the fall of man to reconcile them to Himself.
3. We believe that Jesus, fully God and fully man, came to bring reconciliation between God the Father and His children. He lived a sinless life, spent three and one half years in ministry to show us the Father, instituted the church, died a horrible death on the cross to pay our sin penalty, and rose victorious three days later to show His power over death, hell and the grave. He took stripes on His back for our healing, and took our shame on Himself so that we could stand righteous in Him before the Father. We believe He sits at the right hand of the Father, ever interceeding for us. We believe He will return for those believers who look for Him some day soon, and we shall meet Him in the air. We believe He will return bodily to reign and rule on the earth for a thousand years and that His Saints will return with Him to work.
4. We believe in the Holy Spirit as Intercessor, Comforter, Teacher, and Indweller. His indwelling in the believer brings power and annointing to do the work that the Father has ordained.
5. We believe man is a created being, created in the image of God, sinful in his nature, and in need of a Savior. All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. The only way to correct this defect is to accept Jesus as Lord, turn from sin in true repentance, and begin to walk in the new nature God imparts to us at salvation.
6. We believe children are a heritage from the Lord and the fruit of the womb is a blessing from His hands. We believe life, physical and spiritual, begins at the moment of conception and that God is the Giver of life. God alone is worthy and has the authority to determine the beginning and end of life.
7. We believe in both water baptism and baptism in the Holy Spirit.
8. We believe the Bible is the infallible, complete Word of God, inspired and authored by God through the pens of men. We believe all that a man needs to know about God, how to live, and all truth are contained within it's pages. We believe the believer needs to read and study the Word for himself as meat and drink for the soul, just as he nourishes his physical body. In addition, we believe each believer should have an active prayer life, involved in both listening and talking to God each and every day.
9. We believe in the Church as the Body and Bride of Christ; believers who have accepted Jesus as Lord. We believe it is the responsiblity of the believer to find a place of service in the Body, to support it with tithes and offerings, and to support the leadership of the church placed in spiritual authority over him. We believe Jesus instituted the Church Universal, not a particular denomination, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.
10. We believe in a literal heaven as the dwelling place of God and a literal hell as the final resting place of a literal devil, his demons and the unrighteous sinners who refuse to accept the salvation found in Jesus.
11. We believe the Great Commission applies to all believers and that God intends for every believer to bear witness to Him. We believe the believer must be busy in the harvest of lost souls; that job not being the soul responsibility of the five-fold ministry.
12. We believe God has annointed and placed godly men and women in positions to lead and guide His Body, the Church. These individuals who are annointed to minister have specific areas of ministry and greater responsibility to live righteous and godly lives as examples before the world. The requirements for these individuals can be found in I Tim. 3. We believe that God calls whom He wills and equips them for the work He has called them to do.
I believe that this Statement of Faith is in keeping with my own beliefs and accurately portrays what is revealed in the Bible.

We believe natural birth is the best, safest and most efficient mode of delivery for the vast majority of babies and mothers and that the vast majority of women are fully capable of giving birth naturally, normally, and joyfully with proper education, strong emotional support and if allowed to labor and give birth spontaneously. We advocate comprehensive, consumer-oriented, Bible-based natural childbirth classes for all expectant couples who desire to be prepared for childbirth and desire a biblical view of childbirth and parenting. We further encourage parents to seek out and assemble a birth team who supports these views.
We believe God designed a woman's body for giving birth in a timely and safe manner, and that, in the majority of cases, physical intervention is unnecessary and perhaps even detrimental. We acknowledge man's fall from grace has left us with imperfections in our nature which may, in a small percentage of cases, indicate a need for physical and/or medical intervention in a birth.
We affirm the role, importance and power of faith and prayer in the birth process. We believe that God's grace is sufficient for pregnancy and birth, and that His timing and design are superior to anything man might contrive.
We believe God's authority is supreme and medical personnel are His gifted servants, sometimes called upon to function as His hands to save the life of a mother and/or baby. We believe those present at a birth have an essential moral and ethical obligation to intervene physically to the best of their training and ability when necessary to save the life of a mother and/or baby, including getting the mother and/or baby to a place where such assistance can be administered.
We believe God entrusted parents with the ultimate responsibility for the life of their child, and they should be empowered to make informed decisions on their child's behalf and have those decisions respected by their caregivers. We believe this responsibility extends far beyond birth, requiring parents to lovingly execute their God-given authority in the home, as they see fit in accordance with the Scriptures.
We believe breastfeeding is God's perfect design to nourish and protect babies from harmful disease and death, and to promote strong family bonds, particularly between mothers and babies. We believe parents have the right and responsibility to be informed of the risks of artificial feeding. We believe birth professionals have a moral and ethical responsibility to provide such information to expectant parents, support parents in their attempts to breastfeed, and refer parents to a qualified lactation expert when needed to ensure success in breastfeeding.
We believe it is the responsibility of caregivers to be informed and to inform parents about the many options open to mothers who wish to initiate or continue breastfeeding in spite of factors traditionally thought to preclude breastfeeding, including but not limited to: the choice of demand or routine feeding, medications, medical procedures and conditions, working outside the home, socio-economic factors, etc. We believe the vast majority of women are physically able to breastfeed in whole or in part, with proper education, factual information and emotional support.
I believe that this Birth Philosophy is in keeping with my own beliefs.
