FOOTBALL

Barry played on the freshman team. First there was a "C" game in which the JV and Freshman played against Wabash. Our team won. Barry played quaterback for half the game and threw one touchdown pass.
The Freshman team only won one game, the last one against Northfield. Barry quarterback the team during this victory.
Barry then was asked to quaterback the JV team in their last game. He threw one touchdown pass in the victory.

BASKETBALL

Barry has made the Freshman team, this being November 5, 1999. I will add stories of games. I don't need to add this is his favorite sport. He attended a camp at Taylor University this past summer, as well as playing in a summer league called "The Treaty League", and did very well.

NORTH MANCHESTER-Manchester freshman boys basketball lost to vistiting Warsaw 37-32 here Tuesday. Barry Hicks scored 10 points in the lost and Jediah Carandante added 9. Manchester plays at home against Fort Wayne North on Thursday. Manchester is 0-1.

12/3/99 No news but Barry got to dress for the JV games against Southwood. He didn't get into the game, but enjoyed being part of the team. He has since dressed twice more for the JV, on December 10th and 11th, 1999. Again he didn't make it into the game. He is dressing now fulltime for the JV

1/28/00 While this isn't "game news", Barry has been dressing all year for the JV team, and has only gotten into two games for a short period of time. This evening he played in the 3rd and 4th quarter and scored his first JV points, 2. He played very well.
