WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

Does it really matter what we think and believe about Jesus Christ? Many people seem to think that it really dosen't matter what we think about Jesus Christ. It is my position that if we do not have a healthy belief in and who Jesus is, we will certainly be subject to error. Jesus Christ claimed to be the manifestation of God in the flesh. Sure, Jesus also claimed to be the Son of God. How could Jesus be God and the Son of God at the same time? It's rather easy to see, if we study the Scripture and let God talk to us. If there is only one God and that God is the Father Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one father.... , and if Jesus is God, then it logically follows that Jesus is the Father. If you somehow think that Jesus can be God and still not be the Father, let me offer additional biblical proof that Jesus is the Father making Him God.

1. Isaiah 9:6 says that the Son is the everlasting Father. Jesus is the Son prophesied about and there is only one Father Malachi 2:10; Ephesians 4:6, so Jesus must be God the Father.

2. Colossians 2:9 proclaims that all the fulness of the Godhead dwells in Jesus. The Godhead includes the role of the Father, so we see the Father must dwell in Jesus.

3. John 14:9 "He that hath seen me hath seen the Father" If we see Jesus we see the Father. How could Jesus say this? For arguement, lets look at this in human terms. If you look at me, do you see my son also? The answer is clearly no. So it is evident that Jesus was showing His disciples who he actually was, God the Father.

4. John 10:30 "I and my Father are one" It dosen't say I and my Father are two, or three. It clearly states I (Jesus) and my Father are one!

5. Who raised Jesus from the dead? John 2:19-22 says Jesus; Romans 6:4 says the Father.

6. Who answers prayer? John 14:14 says Jesus; John 15:16 says the Father.

7. Who has the drawing power? John 12:32 says Jesus; John 6:44 says the Father.

8. Who is Alpha and Omega? Revelation 1:8 says Jesus; Revelation 21:6-7 says the Father.

9. Who is the coming One? John 14:3 says Jesus; I John 3:1-2 says the Father.
