Paul F. Alcorn, age 65, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Alcorn was born May 2, 1937, in Anderson County.
He was a retired carpenter and a member of Kellytown Baptist Church.
Mr. Alcorn was preceded in death by: his parents, the Rev. Franklin A. Alcorn and Katherine Rickett Alcorn; brothers, Clyde, Troy, Earl and Bill; sister, Dorothy Alcorn.
Survivors: son, Anthony Alcorn of Georgia; brothers, Ray Alcorn and wife Bess of Oliver Springs, Claude Alcorn and wife Libby of St. Jose, FL; special friend, Fredericka Worthington of Lake City; a host of nieces and nephews.
The family received friends 6-8 pm Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at Sharp Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 8 pm in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Hensley officiating.
Burial and graveside services were held at 11 am Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at Oliver Springs Cemetery.
Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
