Charlie Joe Antrican




Charlie Joe Antrican, 59, of East Circle, Claxton, died today (Wednesday) at 5:15 am at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Mr. Antrican was born Feb. 1, 1934, in Rogersville to Edward E. and Venie Lamb Antrican.

He owned Hilltop Muffler in Oak Ridge. Mr. Antrican served with the Air Force.

He was a member of Solway Missionary Baptist Church, the Tennessee Valley Mustang Club, and was on the board of directors of the Mustang Club of America and was a life member of the National Knife Collectors Association.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Burdette Antrican; a son and daughter-in-law, James Edward and Melanie Antrican of Claxton; daughter and son-in-law, Julia and Bill Starnes of Claxton; mother, Venie Lamb Antrican of Claxton; brothers, J.D. and wife Wanda Antrican of Johnson City and Gary Wayne Antrican of Claxton; sisters, Shirley and husband Chuck McCluskey of Clinton, Lucy Hyatt of Oak Ridge and Maxine Duarty of Redondo Beach, CA; three grandchildren, Tabatha and Michelle Starnes and Chase Harvey, all of Claxton; father-in-law and his wife, Bert and Ruth Burdette of Farragut; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Wayne Light of Claxton; a niece, Missy Moses and a nephew, Dewayne Moses; grandniece, Kyla Moses, all of Oak Ridge.

Services will be at 10 am Friday at Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. Ray Buchanan officiating. Burial is in Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7-9 pm at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge.
