CWO (USN ret.) Howard L. Bacon, 74, of Memphis, died Aug 12. of a heart attack while in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where he had gone to attend a ballgame.

Mr. Bacon, a retired employee of the Federal Aviation Administration, was a 1940 graduate of Norris High School. He left this area in 1941 when he joined the Navy and had lived in Memphis after leaving the service.

Survivors include a daughter, Belinda Bacon Reinagel of Memphis; his mother Grace Bacon of Heiskell; two sisters, Billie Beekman of Kettering, Ohio; Evelyn Carden of Knoxville; a brother, James Bacon of Heiskell and four grandchildren.

A full military funeral was held Aug 17 in Memphis. Forest Hill Funeral Home East was charge of arrangements.
