Edd Bailey, 69, of Briceville Rt. 1, died Oct. 17 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was a retired coal miner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Belle Vowell Bailey; brothers, Carl, rowdy and Diamond Bailey, and sisters, Lizzie and Maggie Bailey.

Mr. Bailey was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Williams Bailey of Briceville; one brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Margie Bailey of Briceville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Cecil Ault of Lake City; Annie and Jonas Phillips and Alice and Virgil Phillips, all of Briceville; three sisters-ion-law, Nettie Bailey of Briceville; Mary Elizabeth Bailey of Lake City and Delora Bailey of Clinton.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Martin Lake City Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Virgil Tackett and the Rev. Ernest Ward officiating. Burial was in Laurel Grove Cemetery.
