Mary Williams Bailey, 78, of Briceville, died Monday at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Funeral services were held at 3 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Martin Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. Virgil Tackett and the Rev. Ernest Ward officiating. Burial was in Laurel Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Bailey, a homemaker, was a member of Walden's View Baptist Church. She was born and reared in Anderson County. Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Lizzie Beets Williams. Her husband, Ed Bailey, died in 1990.

Survivors include nephews, Walter Williams of Knoxville; Earl and Elmer Bailey, Virgil and Charlie Green, Harold and John Dugger, all of Briceville.
