Imogene Orick Baker, age 78, Lake City, went to be with her Lord Monday, March 27, 2000, at her residence in the Medford community.
She was born Aug. 19, 1921, in Bell County, KY. She was a member of High Knob Baptist Church in La Follette. She was a very devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who loved her very much.
Imogene is preceded in death by: Parents, William and Ruth Orick; brothers, Jay Orick, Charlie Orick, Lloyd Orick, Eugene Orick and Ernest Orick.
Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Roy Jennings of Lake City, grandchildren, Alisha Jennings of Lenior City, John and Mindy Jennings of Cordova; great-grandchildren, Melinda Jennings of Cordova and Jonathan Jennings of Cordova; sister and brother-in-law, Jerry and Ike Peters of LaFollette; sister, Mildred Richardson; brother and sister-in-law, Everette Glen and Sandra Orick of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Opal Orick of LaFollette; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Wednesday, March 29, 2000 at Cox-Martin Funeral Home in Lake City. Funeral service will be 8 pm Wednesday, March 29, 2000, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Tom Byrge officiating.
Interment will be 11 am Tuesday, March 30, 2000, at Clinch River Cemetery, Lake City.
