William Thomas (Bill) Baker, 76, of Hollingsworth Circle, Clinton, died Wednesday afternoon at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Mr. Baker was the son of the late Billy and Mary Elizabeth Ward Baker. He was born May 23, 1917, in Anderson County. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church

Before retiring, he worked as a heavy equipment operator. Fishing was his favorite activity

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Baker; daughter, Mrs. Rhea (Judy) Denny of Durham, NC; grandchildren, Marc Denny of Durham, and Lorie Fabean of Stem, NC; sisters, Ruth Hoskins and Myrtle Rose of Clinton; Louise Martin of Leeton, Mo., several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Saturday at Holley- Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jess Ward officiating. Burial was at Sunset Cemetery.
