Johnny Marvin Bass, 21, a resident of Knoxville, and a native of the Batley community in Anderson County, died Friday in Knoxville from injuries he received in an automobile accident.
He was a pipe welder and a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Deborah Wood of Maryville; father, Marvin Bass of Oliver Springs; a sister, Angela Michell and her husband, Glenn Dykes of Knoxville; two stepsisters, Whitney Phillips and Brandi Bowling of Oliver Springs; a brother, Jackson Claiborne Bass of Oliver Springs; two stepbrothers, Josh and Jason Wood, both of Maquoketa, Iowa; grandparents, Ruby Morgan of Oliver Springs, and Warren and Ruby Bass of Oliver Springs; and a special friend, Mikel Lowe.
Services were held Sunday in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home. Graveside services were Monday morning at Tennessee Valley Memory Gardens. The Rev. Scott Paul and the Rev. Luke Kidwell officiated.
