William Alexander Bazel, 65, of Clinton, died Thursday in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Bazel had lived in Clinton all his life. Born Dec. 12, 1928, in Clinton, he was the son of Albert Gallaher and Francis Bazel. Mr. Bazel was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Gallaher.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Bazel; mother, Francis Bazel of Clinton; stepdaughter, Gail Berry and husband David, of Clinton; sister, Maggie Bazel of Clinton. Two step grandchildren, Gabriel Berry and David Berry II, both of Clinton; nieces and nephews, Lorinda Long of Nashville and Robert Wallace and Rodney Long, both of Clinton; a great-niece, Tiffany Long of Nashville; and cousin, Charles Miller of Clinton.
Funeral service will be 8 pm Sunday in Martin Clinton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. O.W. Willis officiating. Burial will be 11 am Monday in Weaver’s Cemetery, Clinton.
The family will receive friends 7-9 pm Saturday and 7-8 Sunday in Martin Clinton Funeral Home Chapel.
