Dorothy Moore Bobo, 61, of Clinton, died at 2:50 am Monday, March 3, 1997, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Bobo lived in both Oak Ridge and Claxton before moving to Clinton. She was a nurse's assistant for several years at the former Westmall Nursing Home in Oak Ridge. She was a member of New Vision, New Covenant Church of Knoxville. She grew up in the Gadsontown community in Claxton before traveling to different parts of the country, the family said. She was the daughter of Allen and Lillie Moore both now deceased. Mrs Bobo enjoyed such crafts as ceramics, needlepoint emboidery and crocheting. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Bobo of Clinton; two grandchildren, Leondria Bobo and Brandon Anderson; and three sisters, Thressa Atwater, Hazel Moore and Berline Ellis, all of Clinton. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, including two nieces and a nephew she considered special, Maxine Davidson of Clinton, Beulah Wells of Claxton and James B Atwater of Knoxville. Norma and Andy Andrews of Claxton, Laura and J W Jarnigan of La Follette, and Willie Jean and Jimmy Robertson of Knoxville were special frineds. In addition to her parents, a sister and three brothers, Mary Bell Moore, Cornealius Moore, Luther Moore and Mark Moore, died earlier. The funeral will be held at 2 pm Saturday, March 8, at Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Clinton with the Rev J Ellis McCleary and the Rev Bill Caldwell officiating. Burial will be at Havens Chapel Cemetery in Clinton. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Saturday at the church. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of arrangements.
