Kenneth Elmore “Ken” Caldwell, 75, died Tuesday morning at Oak Ridge Health Care Canter.
Born Jan. 21, 1918, in Maynardville, he was the son of William A. and Gerthie Irick Caldwell. He was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Caldwell retired as Anderson County Court Clerk and was a former sheriff of Anderson County. He was a member of the Elks Club in Knoxville and a WW II U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by sisters Katherine Williams and Ruth Perkin, and brothers Roy and Luke Caldwell.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Edmondson Caldwell; son, Dr. Mark Caldwell of Clinton; daughter-in-law, Mary Caldwell of Clinton; grandchildren, Scott and Suzanne Caldwell of Clinton; sister, Mildred Scruggs of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 8:30 pm Thursday in Holley-Gamble Chapel with the Rev. Bill Rowland officiating. Burial will be 10:30 am Friday in Tennessee Valley Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Memorial United Methodist Church.
Friends may call from 7-8:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
