Geneva Wilson Cantrell, 64, of Briceville, died Thursday, April 18, 1996, in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Cantrell, born Aug. 20, 1931, in Campbell County, was a member of Fratersville Baptist Church. She had served as postmaster for the Briceville Post Office for more than 18 years.
She collected angels, enjoyed reading and collecting books. When there was a need in the community, she always tried to help.>BR>
She was preceded in death by husband, Roy Cantrell, in 1992; parents, John and Leona Canupp Wilson; and sister, Grace Cox.
Survivors are daughters and son-in-law, Rita and Freeman Byrge of Lake City, and Renee Cantrell of Briceville; grandsons, Joshua and Trent Byrge of Lake City; foster grandchildren, Marie and Clayton Wilson of LaFollette; sisters and brother-in-law, Ruby Hatmaker of Lake City, Louise and Ernest Heneger of Oregon, OH; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry Frank and Frieda Wilson of Memphis, Robert Wilson of Briceville and Claude and Faye Wilson of Lake City; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Family members are receiving friends 6-9 Sunday, April 21, in Cox Funeral Home, Lake City.
Funeral service is Monday, April 22, in Cox Funeral Home chapel. Interment follows in Leach Cemetery.
