Iva Riggs Cantrell, 80, of Knoxville, formerly of Lake City, died Sunday at the Knoxville Health Care Center.

She was born July 27, 1913, in Coal Creek to the late Leonard and Minnie Dabney Riggs. Two sister, Vivian Gray and Ella Beach, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Cantrell was a member of New Beverly Baptist Church in Knoxville. She enjoyed gardening and outdoor activities.

Survivors include a special friend, Jan Cronan, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1 pm Thursday at the Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Lake City. Burial will be at Leach Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Wednesday (today).
