A retired cabinetmaker, Roy Cantrell, 67, of Briceville, died Monday morning at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
He was born Sept. 21, 1925, in Lenoir City to the late John Luck and Annie Phillips Cantrell.
Mr. Cantrell was a member of Fratersville Baptist Church. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Wilson Cantrell of Briceville; daughters and son-in-law, Rita and Freeman Byrge of Lake City; Renee Cantrell of Briceville; grandsons, Joshua and Trent Byrge of Lake City; foster granddaughter, Maria Bullard of Greeneville; brother and sister-in-law, Coy and Minnie Byrge of Petros’ sisters and brothers-in-law, Mae and Matthew Harness and Joyce and Jack West of Oliver Springs; sister, Sylvia Dean Bevington of Dayton, OH; many other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 2 pm Thursday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Condy Pyle, the Rev. Tom Byrge and the Rev. Ernest Ward officiating. Burial will in Leach Cemetery.
