Odelite Webber Carden, 77, of Cedar Street, Clinton, died Saturday at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center where she had been a patient for several days. She had been injured in a fall and her health had declined afterwards, a grandchild said.
Mrs. Carden was the daughter of the late Burt and Nellie Lou Smith Webber. She was an Anderson County native and a member of First Baptist Church. Her pastimes included growing and taking care of flowers. She also enjoyed watching her granddaughters perform in the Halls High School and the University of Tennessee bands.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Eddy and Cecilia Carden of Knoxville; granddaughters, Kimberly Waggoner of Clinton and Deborah Carden; grandson, Mark Carden, both of Knoxville; brother, Terry Webber; sisters, Mrs. Jess (Zelma) Elam and Mrs. Troy (Jean) Curnutt Jr., all of Clinton; Mrs. Francis (Eulavee) Zachary of Kingston; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Samuel Dean officiating. Burial was Tuesday at Sunset Cemetery.
