Willie Foust Carden, age 78, of Lake City, passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at the Methodist Medical Center.
She was born March 17, 1924, in Anderson County to the late Carson and Kate Burton Foust.
Willie was a member of the Island Ford Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother. She loved to cook and loved flowers.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Hollis Foust, Edgar Foust, Bernard Foust, Hubert Foust and Earl Foust; grandson, Charles Michael McKamey.
Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, Leroy and Mary Carden of Lake City, Larry and Angela Carden of Lake City, Lonnie and Nina Carden of Lake City, Mark and Lisa Carden of Lake City; son, Danny Joe Carden of Lake City; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Charles McKamey of Lake City, Patricia and Lonnie Dison of Lake City; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vernon and Shirley Foust of Vonore, Theodore and Alice Foust of Lake City; sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Carl Wilson of Toledo, OH, Gladys and J.C. Cox of Lake City; sisters, Beulah Farmer of Jacksboro and Betty of Spring City; special friends, Norman and Sandy White.
Visitation was 6-9 pm Monday, Aug. 12, 2002, at Cox-Martin Funeral Home.
The funeral service was 2 pm Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002, at the Island Ford Baptist Church with the Rev. Lonnie Dison and the Rev. Charles Harness officiating.
Interment followed the funeral service at the Island Ford Cemetery in Lake City.
