Vada Sarah carpenter, 78, of Highway 25-W, Clinton Rt. 6, died Tuesday at Anderson County Health Care Center.

Her parents were the late Russie and Ella Brewer Keaton. Her husband, Elmer Carpenter, and a son, Carl Carpenter, preceded her in death.

A homemaker, she was a member of Brewer’s Chapel Baptist Church in Sneedville.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. David (Norma) Poole of Titusville, FL; Mrs. Don ( Wanda) Williams of Clinton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Don and Ruth Ann Carpenter of Clinton Rt. 6 and Dan Carpenter of Chattanooga; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service is planned for 2 pm Thursday at Bethel Cemetery, Emory Road, Powell. Friends may call at their convenience at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
