Sherman Lee Carr, 61, of Clinton, died Tuesday in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

He was the son of Ezra and Anna Seeber Carr. Mr. Carr was a heavy equipment operator with the Anderson County Highway Department for more than 15 years. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include six sisters and brothers-in-law, Gertrude and Elmer McFarland of Salida, CA, Kathleen Holbrook of Clinton, Gladys Eppard of Bladenburg, MD, Sibbieleen and Charles Russell of Heiskell, Martha Turner of Knoxville and Mona Lindsey of Jacksboro; a brother and sister-in-law, Shirley and Bonnita Carr of Clinton and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 8:30 pm Thursday in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home chapel.
