Lois Marie Courtney, 72, of
Franklin, Ga., died
in her residence Wednesday, May 8, 1996, after several years of declining
health.
Mrs.
Courtney, a native of Scott County, Tenn., lived in Franklin for the past
12 years. She was a retired
merchant, the wife of the late John Henry Courtney and of Baptist
faith.
Survivors are five
children, John W. Courtney of Marietta, Ga., Larry T. Courtney of
Chicago, Ill., Pam Walston of
Knoxville, Randall Courtney of Douglasville, Ga., Becky Forbes of
Franklin, Ga.; one brother, Claude
W. Moore of Tennessee; one sister, Louise Gunter of Wartburg; 16
grandchildren and 14 great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted 10:30 a.m. Saturday,
May 11, in Pleasant
View Cemetery, Clinton.
Viewing was 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 9, in
Tom Stutts and Son
Funeral Home, Franklin, Ga., and 7-9- p.m. Friday, May 10, in Holley
Gamble Funeral Home, Clinton.
Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements in
Georgia.
