Robert “Bob” A. Dabney Sr., 60, of Clinton died Friday, May 24, 1996, in his home.
Mr. Dabney, born July 25, 1935, in Anderson County, was a member of First Baptist Church, Lake City. He was also a retired iron worker, and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert A. Dabney Jr.; parents, Condy and Emma Crawford Dabney; and sisters, Evelyn and Margaret Dabney.
Survivors are his wife, Wanda Patterson Dabney of Clinton; daughters, Janey Kiggans and husband, Wayne, of Karns and Barbara Kay Bunch of Lake City; grandchildren, Derek and Shanna Kiggans of Karns; sister, Wanda Midkiff of Platka, FL; brother, Ronnie Dabney and wife Joyce, of Clinton; niece, Nancy Zinn of Gainsville, FL; and nephews, Lou Midkiff of Tampa, FL, Tim Dabney and Ronnie “Snookie” Dabney Jr., both of Lake City.
Family received friends 6-9 pm Monday, May 27, in Cox Funeral Home, Lake City.
Funeral service was 2 pm Tuesday, May 28, in Cox Funeral Home with the Rev Tom Byrge and Rev. Garry Gilliam officiating. Interment followed in Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
