Funeral services for Joseph Henry Dail, 87, of Clinton, were held Sunday at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel. A Masonic service preceded the funeral. Burial was at Dutch Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Dail died Friday at Claiborne County Hospital in Tazewell.
He was born April 30, 1906, in Anderson County to the late Henry Grant and Hugh Ella Dail.
He was a member of the Dutch Valley UMC and the Clinton Masonic Lodge No. 376.
Mr. Dail was employed as an electrician with the Tennessee Valley Authority for 25 years and was a member of the Electrician’s Local Union No. 760.
His wife, Mary Bell Dail, died in 1973. Three brothers, William (Bill), John and Willard Dail and a sister, Sue Lucas, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jo and Larry Baird of Tazewell; grandsons, Chance and Wesley Baird; sisters, Annie Hackworth and Mary Kennedy both of Clinton; Margaret Watkins of Morristown and Dorothy Quinley of Pennington Gap, VA, and several nieces and nephews.
