Kathleen Barber Daugherty, 62, of Fraterville community, died Wednesday in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
The daughter of Jack and Bessie Barber, she was born Nov. 13, 1932, in Anderson County. Mrs. Daugherty was a retired cook from University of Toledo and was of the Church of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Daugherty in 1991; her parents; and sister, Pauline Harmon.
Survivors include children, Van Daugherty and Robbin Braden, both of Lake City, Kathy Harp and fiancée Donald Walton of Perrysburg, OH, Joyce and Dan Skirvin of Oregon, OH, and David and Diane Daugherty of Toledo, OH; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Dana Wilson, Faye Barber and Helen and D.C. Sharp, all of Lake City, Alma and Bob Hagwood of Gainsville, FL, Patricia Burress of Chattanooga and Nancy and Francis Braden of Briceville, brothers and sisters-in-law, J.B. and Barbara Barber, Lee and Margaret Barber and Tommy Carl and Cindy Barber, all of Lake City; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was Saturday in Fraterville Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Sharp and the Rev. Bill Thomas officiating. The body was to lie in state one hour before services. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Cox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
