Marjorie Kathleen Daugherty, age 65, a resident of the Norwood section of Oliver Springs, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2000, at her home.
Mrs. Daugherty was born May 19, 1934, in Devonia. She had lived in this area all of her life. She was a member of Beech Park Baptist Church and she worked as a secretary at the X-10 Plant in Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Daugherty was preceded in death by: Husband, Wendell C. Daugherty; brothers, Bobby Lee Blank and Gregory Blank; sister, Janet French.
Survivors: Daughter, Angela Hollifield and husband, Steve of Kingsport; grandchildren, Stephanie, Kory and Matthew, all of Kingsport; brothers, Eldon Blankenship and wife, Loretta of Indiana, Curtis Blank and wife, Linda of Harriman, Ronny Blank of Harriman; sisters, Sue Martin and husband, Bill of Clinton, Jo Auchmoody and husband Dick of Pennsylvania, Beverly Seiber and husband Clayton of Harriman; Mrs. Daugherty is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends called 6-8 pm Friday, March 3, 2000 at Sharp Funeral Home. Funeral service was 8 pm Friday, March 3, 2000, in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Burial and graveside service was 11 am Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
