Robert “Bob” Daugherty, 78, of Clinton, died Tuesday in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
The son of L. and Marie M. Daugherty, he was born Feb. 8, 1917, in Briceville. Mr. Daugherty was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by two daughters, Trula Gean and Cloteem.
Survivors include his wife, Jewel Daugherty of Clinton; five sons and daughters-in-law, Robert John and Angie Daugherty of NC, Alvin and Susie Daugherty of Clinton, Morris Daugherty of Kentucky, David Daugherty of Knoxville, and Raymond Daugherty ; six daughters and a son-in-law, Ellen and Bain Seiber of Beach Grove, Judy Kaye Daugherty of Oak Ridge, Patricia Ann Woods of Gray, and Darlene McLaughlin, Joyce Harness and Michael Foust, all of Clinton; one sister, Lucille Braden of Braden Flats; 34 grandchildren, grandchildren, Thimothy and Amanda Faye, who made their home with him; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was Friday in Martin Funeral Home of Lake City with the Rev. John Whittaker officiating. Burial was Saturday in Laurel Grove Cemetery.
