Ada Jean Davis, age 83, formerly of Clinton, was born Aug. 24, 1916, and passed away Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at Tri-State Care Center in Harrogate.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cary F. Davis; her parents, Hayes and Mary Williams; and three brothers and four sister.

Ms. Davis attended Second Baptist Church in Clinton.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Mayme Rogers of Knoxville, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1-2 pm Saturday, July 17, at Anderson County Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with the Rev. Howard Tap presiding. Music will be provided by Brian Giles.

Ms. Davis will be laid to rest in Sunset Cemetery, Clinton. Pallbearers will be Frank Davis, Jack Hopper, Doug Clanton and David Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Yoakum, Roy Hayes Dunn and Rufus Dunn.
