JOSEPH DELMONTE
Joseph Delmonte, age 83, of Clinton, passed away Monday, October 19, 1998, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Clinton. He retired from Union Carbide as a
Chemical Operator at the Y-12 plant after 25 years of service.
He was a United States Marine Veteran who had served in World War II. He was born in September 15, 1915, in Clinton, Tenn. Survivors: wife, Lela Diggs Delmonte, Clinton; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael D. and Cheri Delmonte, Casa, Ark., Stephen and Jenifer Delmonte, Claxton; sister, Juanita Jagmin,
Cicero, Ill.; nephew, Ronnie Jagmin, Chicago, Ill.; grandchildren, Chris Smiley, Dustin Delmonte, Jessica Delmonte, Samantha Delmonte, Amy Delmonte, Amber Robinson and Ryan Delmonte; two great-grandchildren. The family will receive
friends 7-9 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 1998, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday in the chapel with the Rev. Sam Dean officiating.
Interment following at Sunset Cemetery in Clinton, with full military honors conducted by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
