Blair Edward Echnoz, 44, of Clinton, who was injured in an automobile accident on Raccoon Valley Road, died at Methodist Medical Center on Wednesday night.

He was a native of Union County and the son of the late Herman and Clara Echnoz.

Mr. Echnoz had been working in Florida and had recently returned to Clinton.

He was a self-employed mason. Mr. Echnoz was of the Baptist faith. He served with the Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Marie Echnoz of Clinton; two step-children, David M. Hillard and Amanda Sieber, both of Clinton; two sisters, Margaret Cook of Heiskell and Jere Dawn of Knoxville; one brother, Roy Proffitt of Heiskell; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services with full military honors were Saturday afternoon at Sunset Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Disney and the Rev. Robbie Cox officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
