Former Blowing Springs community resident Martha Jane Edmonds, 97 of Oak Ridge died Saturday in Methodist Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late Charles and Annie Hale Lethgo and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Lorene and Calvin “Red” Cooper of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Ann and Willard Brock of Clinton; son and daughter-in-law, Clarence and Doris Edmonds of Danville, VA; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Elizabeth Donley of Ashtabula, OH.

Funeral service was Sunday in Holley-Gamble Chapel with the Rev. A.H. Gough officiating. Burial was Tuesday in Knoxville National Cemetery.
