Virgil E. Edmonds, 86, of Lake City Highway, Blowing Springs community, Clinton Rt. 2, died Thursday night at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
He was born July 16, 1906. Mr. Edmonds was a member of Blowing Springs Baptist Church.
Before retiring, he was a knitter at the magnet Mills in Clinton.
His wife, Ruby Hill Edmonds, preceded him in death.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Grant and Teresa Edmonds of Clinton; Marvin Kyle and Phyllis Edmonds of Magnolia, TX; grandchildren, Richie Edmonds and Scott Edmonds, both of Atlanta, GA; Melinda and Lori Edmonds, both of Magnolia, TX; Elaine Edmonds and Kristina Edmonds, both of Clinton.
Services were held Sunday at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Smith and the Rev. Bedford Bullock officiating. Burial was Monday at Sunset Cemetery in Clinton.
