Alfred Lee Edwards Sr., 83, of Harriman, died Friday in his home.

A lifelong Roane County resident, he was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Edward was a retired truck driver and construction worker.

Survivors include three children and spouses, Alford and Mary Edwards Jr., Shelby Brown and Brenda and Cloy Keene, all of Harriman; stepchildren, Margaret and Gar Hedgecoth and Arthur and Wanda Gordon Jr., both of Harriman, and Jerri and Jimmy White of Kingston; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Debbie Walls Edwards and Marie Edwards, both of Oliver Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was Sunday in Sharp Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Nance officiating. Burial was Monday in Anderson Memorial Gardens.
