A former Oak Ridge man, Grover. W. Elkins, 58, died June 5 in Hollywood, FL at the Hollywood Medical Center.

He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired electrician and member of Local 760 IBEW.

Mr. Elkins was an Army veteran.

His wife, Virgie Lee Church Elkins, died in 1980.

Survivors include his sons, Steve Elkins of Oak Ridge; Michael Eugene Elkins of Columbia, SC; Mark Elkins of Orlando, FL; Grover Elkins, Jr of Hollywood; daughters, Sherry Elkins of Orlando, FL; Kimberly Woods of Oak Ridge; brother, Billy J. Elkins of Norris; sisters, Lucille Fortner of Oak Ridge; Jean Hamm of Knoxville; a special aunt, Bonnie Kimbrough; four grandchildren.

Services were Monday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Lake City with the Rev. James C. Bandy officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery on Tuesday.
