Maude Elizabeth Elkins, 86, of Clinton, died Thursday in Windwood Health Care Center.

She was a member of Clinton First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Elkins was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Benjamin and Minnie Day Massengill; husband, Judge J. Leon Elkins; son, James “Buzz” Elkins; brothers, Paris, Clarence and Robert Massengill; sisters, Myrtle Goins, Gertrude Carden and Cora Armstrong.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Anna L Elkins of Knoxville and Emma Sue and Bill F. Brummett of Clinton; grandchildren, Lisa Cooley, Julie Walker and Laura Elkins; great-grandchildren, Alex Cooley and Matthew Walker; sisters, Nola Brown and Mary Ruth Reynolds, both of Clinton, Beulah Weaver of Norris and Lucille Ford of Buena Vista, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was Friday in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Samuel Dean officiating. Graveside service was 11 am Saturday in Tennessee Valley Memory Gardens, Claxton.
