Troy Albert Elliott, age 83, of Clinton passed away Sunday, April 4, 19999, at his residence.
Mr. Elliott was a self-employed farmer and a member of Clinch River Baptist Church. He was born Oct 2, 1915, in Harlan, KY. He was a veteran of World War I I, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Elliott; son, David Elliott; granddaughter, Pamela Elliott; parents, Curtis and Nora Hawkins Elliott; brother, Charlie Elliott; and sisters, Lellie Hill, Rosie Martin and Dolly Elliott.
Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Juanita and Leonard Harness of Cleveland, TN; Evelyn and Roger Mincey of Cleveland, TN; sons- and daughters-in-law, Mackie and Geraldine Elliott of Etowah, Ferland and Delia Elliott of Kingston, and Steve and Lisa Elliott of Clinton; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lillian Miller of Lake City; Linus Cook and Ruby Powers, both of Clinton, and Cora Lee Hutchison of Lakeland, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:30 pm Wednesday, April 7, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral services will follow in the chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Seeber and Rev. Ray Hill officiating.
Interment will be 11 am Thursday, April 8, in Grandview Memorial Garden, Clinton.
