A former Clinton resident and Anderson County teacher, Ruby Grace Ellis, 86, of Loudon Health Care Center, died May 12.

Miss Ellis was a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton and the Eastern Star Chapter 193 for 50 years. She taught school in the county system for 43 years.

Survivors include a brother, Dwight C. Ellis of Lakeland, FL; sister, Merle Hendrix Coley of Lenoir City; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Thursday night at Click Funeral Home Chapel in Lenoir City with the Rev. Glenn Gamble officiating. Burial was Friday at Lake View Cemetery.
