Worth E. Ellis, Sr., 83, of Oliver Springs died Tuesday, Aug. 21, at his home after a lengthy illness.
Ellis was a member of the Church of God of Prophesy and a retired coal miner. He enjoyed gardening.
He was preceded in death by three sons, Albert Huskey, LeRoy Huskey, and Tillman Huskey.
Survivors include his wife, Mina Ellis; sons, Worth E. Ellis, Jr of Oliver Springs, A.C. (Jock) Huskey of Briceville; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Nunley of Dayton, OH, and a brother, Roy Ellis of Evarts, KY.
The funeral will be at 8:30 pm on Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Sharp Funeral Home Chapel in Oliver Springs.
The Rev. Dean Yancy, the Rev. L.B. Huskey and the Rev. Stewart Stone will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm on Thursday at the Sharp Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be at 11 am on Friday at the Ellis Cemetery in Oliver Springs.
