Lula Maupin Enix, 81, of Old Jacksboro Highway, Ridgewood community, Caryville Rt.1, died Oct. 7 at her home.
Mrs. Enix, a member of Church Street Church of God in Lake City, was a longtime resident of the Ridgewood community.
Born Feb. 18, 1911, in Harlan, KY, she was the daughter of the late William and Leonia Maupin.
A homemaker, she enjoyed yard work and gardening, especially raising flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Enix, and a daughter, Juanita Jones.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Wilma and Homer Meredith of Caryville and Ann and John Weisman of Prairie Village, KS; four sons and two daughters-in-law, James C. Enix of Dayton, OH; Roy Enix of Clinton; Arnold and Pat Enix of Clinton; Ray and Mary Enix of Monroe, MI; 16 grandchildren; one brother, William Maupin of Washington Courthouse, OH.
Funeral services were held Friday night at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd W. Creasman and the Rev. Tony McAfee officiating. Burial was Saturday at Oak Grove Cemetery. Grandsons were pallbearers.
