Grant U. Ezell, 72, of Mountain Road in Andersonville, died Friday morning at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Mr. Ezell was retired from Robertshaw Controls in Knoxville. Mr. Ezell was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
He served in the Air Force during World War II.
His parents were the late Joe and Maude Grant Ezell. A brother, Esco Ezell, and a sister, Maureen Ezell Foust, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Cox Ezell of Andersonville; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Judy Ezell of Andersonville; sister, Lillian Carroll of Halls; brothers-in-law, Ralph Cox of Knoxville and Everette Foust of Andersonville; sisters-in-law, Cora Ezell of Andersonville, Mary Cox of Knoxville and Dorothy Barger of Las Vegas, NV; five nephews; two nieces; and other relatives.
Services were held Saturday night at Holley-
Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joey Herrell officiating. Burial will be at 2 pm Sunday at Andersonville Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted by the Volunteer State Honor Guard.
