Wallace Dudley Fagan, 48, of Brookgreen Drive, Clinton, formerly of Sunrise, FL, died Monday at his home after a short illness.
Mr. Fagan had moved here in January of 1993 from Sunrise, where he managed several storage buildings.
He was born in Black Star, KY, on Sept. 15, 1944, to the late Roger and Letha King Fagan. A brother, Jim Fagan, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Fagan was reared in Clinton and was a Clinton High School graduate. A staff sergeant, he retired at the age of 39 from the Air Force at Homestead, FL, after serving 22 years. He had tours of duty in Korea, Vietnam, Okinawa, Dominican Republic and Spain. He entered service when he was 17.
A sister said he was an avid golfer.
He was married in Clinton to Aleeda Ann Fagan, who survives him.
Survivors also include a daughter, Deborah Annette Bier of Clinton; grandchildren, Jennifer Lee and Mitchell Dennis Bier of Clinton; brothers, Harold Fagan of Solway and Fred Fagan of Clinton; sisters, June Disney of Kingston, Dimples Mullins and Phyllis Hanson of Clinton; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Michael Coffey and Mary LaPointe of Sunrise, FL.
Services were held Tuesday at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Raymond Sanderson and the Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owens officiating. Burial was Wednesday at 10 am in Fagan Cemetery in Coalfield. Military services were held at the graveside.
