James Leon Farr, 59, of Moyock, NC, died April 2 in his residence.

Mr. Farr was born in Chattanooga. He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma N. Farr; and father, William Farr.

Survivors include his mother, Edith Opal Farr of Claxton; a daughter, Debbie Thompson of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Fraker and Louise Ledbetter, both of Claxton; Mary Leinart of Knoxville and Charlotte Macklin of Powell; four brothers, William Farr Jr. of Knoxville, Paul Farr of Lake City, Tommy Farr of Claxton and Bobby Farr of Kingston.

Funeral service April 4 in Twifold’s Memorial Chapel. Burial was in Rosewood Memorial Cemetery, Virginia Beach, VA.
