Maxine Carrie York Fielden, 79, of Clinton, died Thursday in her residence.

Born April 6, 1915, in Knox County, she was the daughter of Matt and Pearl Foster Lewis. Mrs. Fielden was a member of Sunny View Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and June York of Clinton; four stepchildren and spouses, Walter and Dorothy Brown of Claxton, Gary and Barbara Williams of Heiskell, Leon Fielden of Woodridge, VA, and Robert Fielden of Heiskell; three grandchildren, Regina Weaver, Sherry White and Jeffrey York; eight great-grandchildren, Russell, Doyle, Dana, Jessica, Brandon, Jonathan, Michael and Megan; two sisters, Flossie Edington and Opal Williams, both of Powell; one brother, Stiner Lewis of Powell; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was Sunday in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Alva Wallen and the Rev. Harold Ellis officiating. Burial was in Bells Campground Cemetery, Powell.
