Flossie Johnson Foster, 96, of Clinton died Jan. 9, 1996 in Boone, Iowa.

Mrs. Foster moved from Clinton in 1989. She was born July 16, 1899, in Anderson County. She is the daughter of John and Jane Cole Carden.

In 1917, she married Robert Johnson in Anderson County. He died in 1929. In 1939, she married William Foster in Anderson County.

She was employed with the Clinton school lunch program for more than 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one daughter, Anna; four brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Alma Johnson of Boone, Iowa; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 15 in Holley Gamble Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 15 in Holley Gamble Funeral Home.

Interment in Bethel Cemetery will follow the memorial service.

Memorials may be made to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church or Bethel Baptist Church.
